Peacefully, surrounded by family on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at the Oak Ridges Hospice, at age 91. Dorothy Hope (nee Thompson), devoted and loving wife of the late Roy Hope for 67 years. Loved mother of Ann Ostafichuk (the late Greg), Rick Hope, Lori Cross (Dino and the late Andy), Troy Hope, Darrin Hope (Kebbie), and daughter-in-law Pam. Proud grandmother of 12 and great grandmother of 12. Survived by her brother Pat Thompson (Debbie). Dorothy is predeceased by her son Dan Hope, and her sisters Edith, Vernie, and Doreen.
The Family of Dorothy Hope will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry on Saturday, April 25th from 1 – 3 p.m. A Service to Celebrate her life will follow in the Chapel. Private interment at Pine Grove Cemetery at a later date. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Oak Ridges Hospice or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
