HUBER, Catherine Artemise Lorette Huber

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Catherine Artemise Lorette Huber (née Deschamps) on July 24, 2026, in her 93rd year, surrounded by the love of her family.

Catherine was born on December 29th 1933, in Blind River, Ontario, to the late Marie and Pierre Deschamps.

She was the beloved wife of Wayne Huber, sharing 39 years of marriage until his passing in 2019. Catherine was a devoted mother to Colleen Young (2019) and her husband Jim, Donnita Kirkton (2015), John Townsend and his wife Cathy, Darcy Huber and Kathleen Townsend.

She was a cherished grandmother to Ashley Barkwell (Callum), Justin Townsend, Ryan Russell, Jesse Young, and Cheyenne Townsend (Brandon), and a proud great-grandmother to Austin, Evan, Cameron, Jack, Mikayla, and Charlotte. She is also remembered by many extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Memorial Park Clubhouse, 120 Liberty Street South, Bowmanville, ON L1C 2P4, on August 29, 2026 from 1:00PM to 4:00PM.

Catherine will be remembered for her kindness, strength, warmth, and deep love for her family. She is now reunited with her beloved husband Wayne and her daughters Colleen and Donnita. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
