HYLAND, Helen Elizabeth Hyland 

Our much loved mom, Helen Elizabeth Hyland (nee Williams) passed away peacefully on January 5th, 2026 at the age of 96. Originally gifted as a nurse, Betty found a higher calling as a loving partner to Warren (HWB Hyland, deceased) and caring mother to her three children David (deceased) (Judy), Donna and Gwendy (Tom). Cherished grandma to Joseph, Daniel, Nathan, and Emma; Bri (Tim), Tyler and Matt; Katie, Carly and Deanna. Special “GG” (Great Grandma) to Everleigh and Jameson.

Betty loved Jesus! Her encouragement to people God placed in her ‘circle’ reflected that deep love of her Lord & Savior. Later in life, Betty fulfilled her dream to get her teacher’s certificate and brightened the lives of kids with special needs at a local Toronto school before retiring to Maple Lake.

Betty showed love to her family and friends because she believed in them and supported them with her words, her prayers and her actions. She was a fervent prayer warrior. She will be sadly missed, but we know she is celebrating in glory with family.

Betty will be laid to rest in the Espanola Cemetery on June 27th, at 10:00 a.m.

The family welcomes loved ones to gather 30 minutes before the burial service for a time of fellowship and remembrance.
