It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Jacqueline Furlotte at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital on August 19, 2026.
Jacqueline “Jackie” shared nearly five decades of life, love, and cherished memories with her first love and soulmate, Leo Furlotte, whom she married back in the 1950’s. Together, they built a loving family and shared many wonderful years and adventures until his passing in 1998.
Later in life, Jackie found love again with her beloved second husband, Doug Deakins, with whom she shared many cherished years.
She was a loving mother to Perry (Debie), Monique (Brad), Lise (Al), the late Diane, and the late Leo Jr.; a loving grandmother to Jonathan, Nate, Brittany, Jesse, Seth, and Zach; and a proud great-grandmother to Noah.
Jackie will be dearly missed by her sisters, Adrienne Daoust and Clarice Stewart. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Alma LeBlanc.
Friends and family are welcome to gather at P.X. Dermody Funeral Home, 796 Upper Gage Avenue (between Mohawk & Fennell), Hamilton, on Sunday, August 23, 2026, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church on Monday, August 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
