In loving memory of our Mum, Elizabeth (Bonny) May Jacuzzi, who passed away on July 24, 2025. She was the devoted wife of Bruno (predeceased), a loving mother to Anthony (Shirley) and Mary Anne (Glen), and a fond grandmother to Eric and Bryan Jacuzzi. She is survived by her brother Brian Tucker of East Sus, England, and her sister-in-law, Sister June Jacuzzi of Chatham. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was a strong woman who was business minded at a time when it was not typical for a woman to be in the business world. Our mother was a kind and gentle person and had a soft spot for animals, especially dogs. She was an avid and accomplished knitter, and her knitting needles produced intricate sweaters and beautiful blankets for her family and friends, and baby caps and pneumonia prevention vests for charity. She was an exceptionally talented cook and baker, and her cheesecake recipe won first place in a local contest.
After retirement, she enjoyed being a snowbird in Pt. Charlotte with her husband and looked forward to spending the summers at the camp (cottage) on the French River with their grandparents. Bonny was a member of St. Francis Parish and the Catholic Women’s League. After her beloved Bruno died, she became involved in a Grievance Counseling Group to help and support others with the loss of their loved ones. Her canine companion, Corey, was known to make regular cameo appearances at these sessions.
Bonny sponsored vulnerable children in developing countries, helping them to gain access to nutritious food, healthcare and education. Our Mum was a source of inspiration to us all and she will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
A special thank you to the PSWs, staff and residents at Hygate Retirement Home, Waterloo, for their care, compassion, and friendship given to Bonny over the past 3 years.
There will be no visitation. A funeral service, led by Father Paul Voisin, will be held at the Erb & Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S, Waterloo, on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 11:30 am. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
