It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gail at Cedarbrook Lodge Retirement Home with her family at her side on Sept 23, 2025. After a 3 year journey with cancer, she is now without pain and at peace. She was devoted and happily married to the late Charlie Jesshope for 61 years. Gail stood strong after his passing and continued enjoying fellowship & many activities with her many friends at the Masaryk Town community.
Gail gave of herself to help others and offer hospitality throughout her whole life. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, euchre and of course “Happy Hour”. She took on many roles at her Condo activities from overseeing the Tea time, helping with Bingo and of course their yearly Garage Sale (which she will miss for the 1st time in 14 years).
Gail was well loved by anyone she encountered right to her end of life with the many care workers at Centenary Hospital, Scarborough General Hospital and Cedarbrook Lodge Retirement Home. The family sends many thanks for the great care and passion given to Gail during her stay at each of these facilities.
Gail loved celebrating with her children Barbara Osborne (Blair), John Jesshope (Andrea) and enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow into young adults Shawn, Jason (Alexandra), Julia and their adopted granddaughter Caroline.
Her warm smile and pleasant personality will be missed by so many she crossed paths with over her 85 years of life.
