Passed away peacefully at Oak Ridges Hospice, Port Perry on June 27, 2025, at the age of 89. Daughter of the late Fred and Margaret Ballard of Utica and mother of Paul (Shelley), Carla (Steve), Margo (Sandro), and Brent (Jenny). Loving grandmother of Jeremy (Monica), Lindsay (Pat), Samantha (Kabir), Caitlin (Damian), Daniel (Ashlyn), Krissy (Justin), Alexi (Brad) and Ashley. Loving great grandmother to Ben, Rowan, Logan, Kodie, Wes, Jacob, Adriana, Ethan, Aiden, Isla, Anthony, and Domenic. Joan lived her life in Port Perry, raising her family, working for various businesses, owning a store and volunteering for many charities. May her strength be an inspiration to us all. Special thanks to the staff and volunteers at Oak Ridges Hospice. Their caring and end of life services are truly special.
