It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel Guy Joanette on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the age of 70.
Dear son of Theresa and the late Delphis. Beloved husband of Jolanta. Loving father of Daniel (Kacey) and Celeste (Chris), and stepfather of Robert and Witek. Cherished grandfather of Éowyn, Emilia, Evan, and Natalie Rose, and step-grandfather of Casimir and Wendy.
Dan will be fondly remembered by his sister Nicole (Jim), as well as by his nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends. His warmth, humor, and generous spirit touched all who knew him, and his presence will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held at Oshawa Funeral Home, 847 King Street West, Oshawa, on Friday, April 11, 2025, at 12:30 p.m. A Celebration of Life will follow in the chapel at 1:30 p.m., with a reception from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
