JONES, Barry Jones

Passed away peacefully at Country Lane on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Born in Owen Sound on August 14, 1942, Barry Wayne Jones of Chatsworth was in his 84th year.

Loving brother of Brian Jones (Lynn) of St. Thomas, and brother-in-law of Bonita Jones of Owen Sound. Cherished uncle of Deb, Nicole (Dave), Adam (Christina), Jess (Catherine), Christine, Andy (Joanne) and Michelle (Ian). Dear great uncle of Samantha, Madison, Mikaylee, Hunter, Fallon, Adley, Lee, Rebecca, Jack, Kiley and Caleb. Proud great great uncle of Gabriel.

Predeceased by his parents Fred and Eleanor “Susie” Jones, brother Fred “Bud” Jones, and by his nephew Steven Jones.

Barry was an avid Owen Sound Attack fan who wore his jersey with pride. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and being supportive of all his nieces and nephews sporting activities.

The family would like to thank Country Lane for all their support, care and friendship given to Barry during his time with them.

Memorial visitation will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 5-8 p.m. A private interment will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery at a later date.
