JONES, FG Wyman JONES

Beloved husband of Diana Marie Jones passed on in his home in California on Monday, August 11, 2025. He leaves behind one brother, William (Bill), and two cousins, Tom and Jane. Wyman did not have any children but had three nephews, Kevin, Vincent, and Timothy. Wyman found his wings and continued his journey back to Tavistock, Ontario, Canada, where he will join other members of his family.

Wyman spent all his life in the railway industry, including model trains in his home and backyard. Even at one year old, he had a model train. Wyman graduated as an engineer in 1974 and began work at Canadian National Railway in Edmonton, Alberta. Throughout the years, Wyman worked for several railway properties. Due to health issues, he was forced to retire from LACMTA on March 1, 2025 (after almost 34 years of dedicated service).

When Wyman was a teenager, he built his own sailboat to sail on Lake Huron and bought the first of several horses. Wyman competed in horse shows and was also a judge at horse shows. Additionally, Wyman did square dancing on horseback. Other interests were playing the piano, lawn bowling, and curling. Wyman had some brief work in landscape design.

Wyman will be sorely missed with a legacy that will live in our hearts forever.
