KARVONEN, Micheline Lisette Karvonen

Our beloved mother, Micheline Lisette Karvonen (nΓ©e Valence) died peacefully April 25th. She will be dearly and forever missed by daughters Nathalie (Pierre), Anita (Julian), and Tanjah (Guy). Micheline was born to Jean-Charles & Marie-Ange and raised in Sherbrooke with brother Gilles and sisters Jocelyne & Danielle. A lifelong learner, she earned a B.Sc. from the U. of Sherbrooke in 1960, an MBA from York U. in 1978, and a Master of Divinity from U of T in 2001. She had a love of languages, and enjoyed varied careers as a dietician/nutritionist, in marketing, writing, translation, and French-language services. She believed strongly in volunteering for environmental/human causes. Micheline loved travel and spent years living/working in Boston and Bolivia and Ecuador where she did humanitarian work with the Scarboro Missions. Micheline will be remembered lovingly by her sisters, grandsons: Ronan, Derrian, Tristan, ex-husband Viljo, nieces/nephews, and many friends. Her daughters would like to thank the staff at AgeCare Trilogy and her Personal Companion Bidhaya for all their love and care.
Michelineβs Celebration of Life will be at the Carrot Common Green Roof, 348 Danforth Ave. Toronto on Sunday, May 31st at 3:30 p.m.
