We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our classy, loving, kind and strong mother Laura King (nee Gillan) on May 15, 2025, in her 92nd year. Laura was predeceased by her beloved husband Doug King.

Loving mother of Audrey Jacobs, Stephen (Paul) King, and Blair King. Grandmother of Zac, Brock (Christian), and great-grandmother of Dawson, Bella, and Mateo. Predeceased by her sister Phyllis Embelton and brother Allan Gillan; survived by her sister Madalene Switzer.

Laura was a kind, loving, classy, and strong woman. She worked in insurance for many years, baked and cooked with love, and was always ready to host a warm gathering. She enjoyed cards, dancing, entertaining, and living life fully. She and Doug, married nearly 70 years, shared countless adventures and are now waltzing together once again.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Cayuga United Church, 25 Munsee Street South, Cayuga from 1 pm to 3 pm with the funeral service to follow at 3 pm. Reception to be held at the family home in Cayuga. Interment will occur later at the Gillan family plot, North Glanford Cemetery, Hamilton.
