Passed away peacefully with family by his side on August 9, 2025, at the age of 88. Son of Alfred and Grace (née McNorton) Lachance, and son-in-law of Regis and Alice (née Marchand) Tetreault. Beloved husband of 65 years to Janet (née Tetreault). Cherished father of Mitchell (Theresa), Bradley (Karen), Brenda Fletcher (Brian), and Kelson (Edyta). Proud “Pepe” of Michael, Lauren, Lyndsey, Danielle, Brittni, Brooke, and Mathew. Dear “Great-Pepe” of Eleanor.

Beloved brother of Ron (Judy) Lachance. Dear brother-in-law of Cecile Lachance (Fred), Cecile Lachance (Don), and Doris Pillon (Rosaire), Edmund Tetreault (Joanne). Predeceased by brothers Alfred, Donald, and half-brother Harvey Bouffard; sisters Dorothy Renaud, Elaine Gignac (Norm), Shirley Lachance, and Doris Cushman (Jim), and brother-in-law Paul Tetreault. Dear uncle to many nieces and nephews, and friend to many.

Edward worked for many years as an accountant at Green Giant and was a proud member of the Certified Management Accountants of Ontario. He was a dedicated member of St. Anne Parish and an honorary member of the Knights of Columbus Fr. Nicholas Point Council #4375. Always thinking of others, Edward devoted much of his spare time to volunteering at the Lakeshore Food Bank.

Visitation will take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (519-253-7235) on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, from 3–5 pm and 7–9 pm. Visitation will continue on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at St. Anne Parish, 12233 Tecumseh Rd. E., from 10:30 am until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at St. Anne Cemetery.

In the true spirit of giving back, as Edward always did, the family invites those attending to bring canned goods and pantry items to be donated to the Lakeshore Food Bank in his honor. Monetary donations to the Food Bank are also welcomed.
