It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Cheryl Lake (née Corson), who left us peacefully on October 18th, 2025, in Bowmanville, Ontario, at the age of 79.
Born on May 4th, 1946, in Bowmanville, Linda spent her life surrounded by the love of family and friends in the Clarington community she called home. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Peter Huxhold, and will be forever cherished and remembered by her children Noel & Peggy and Shelley.
Linda’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Brittney & Patrick, Garrett & Kathryn, and Jake & Paige, and a loving great-grandmother to Steven, Kevin, Luke, Charlie, Clark, Grayson, and Bennett. She also leaves behind her dear siblings Chris & Karen, Darlene, Debbie & Mike, and Donnie & Gena, who will miss her deeply.
Linda worked for many years at Chrysler, where she was known for her dedication, warmth, and strong work ethic. Outside of work, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life — scrapbooking, puzzles, reading, and playing games with family and friends. In her later years, she lovingly embraced her role as a “professional Amazon and Temu shopper,” always finding little treasures to share with those she loved.
Linda will be remembered for her loving, compassionate, selfless, and kind-hearted nature. She touched the lives of everyone who knew her with her generosity, sense of humor, and unwavering care for others.
A private ceremony to celebrate Linda’s life will be held for family and close friends on October 25th, 2025.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lakeridge Health Foundation – Bowmanville Hospital Critical Care Ward, in honor of Linda’s memory.
Linda’s love, laughter, and kindness will remain in our hearts forever.
