LAM, Luoi Lam

Passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the age of 97. She is survived by her eleven children and all of her loving grandchildren.

Luoi was born on March 3, 1928, in Vietnam, to Thanh Tran and Phuoc Hung Lam who both came from China.

Luoi Lam and her husband, Hui Vuong, raised their family in the southern Vietnamese town of Rach Gia. They departed from Vietnam in 1979 and arrived in Canada in 1980. Luoi continued her role as a loving and dedicated wife to Hui. She also remained the steadfast matron of the Vuong family in Waterloo until her passing.

Visitation for Luoi Lam will take place at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S, Waterloo, on Thursday, September 4, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A Buddhist service will follow the visitation in the chapel of the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Prayers and interment at Parkview Cemetery, 335 University Ave., Waterloo, will immediately follow.
