Laura Jean Wolters (née Copping), born April 19, 1944, died peacefully at home on September 4, 2026. She was 82.
Laura and her husband, Cecil (Sytze) Wolters, shared 60 years of marriage. She is remembered by her daughters Rachael Lipski and Charlotte Maschke; grandchildren Andrew Lipski, Christopher Lipski, Miranda Maschke (Brandon Wootton) and Megan Maschke; great-grandson Weston Wootton; and her many siblings and in-laws. Her son, Roderick Wolters, predeceased her.
Her family remembers her caring nature, pride in their accomplishments and readiness to help others. Laura enjoyed baking and cooking, and she made a point of remembering birthdays with a card or phone call.
Visitation will begin at Rehoboth Christian Reformed Church on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m.
In place of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gate 316.
