Portrait of Lloyd Raymond March

Lloyd Raymond March passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on September 8, 2026, at the age of 86.

Born in Toronto, Ontario, on April 23, 1940, to William and Effie March, Lloyd is lovingly remembered by his daughters Wendy (Dean Butler), Shelley (Ken Karpa) and Tina (Bob Bridger); grandchildren Carley, Amelia, Hayden, Hanna and Lily; great-grandson George; brother Bill (Susan) March; his late brother Cecil’s partner, Jean Green; and brother-in-law Bill Douglas (Nicole). He was predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Linda, and his brother Cecil.

Lloyd met Linda in Lindsay before beginning a career with Eaton’s in London, Ontario. Through dedication and hard work, he became a principal buyer in Toronto. He later established a sporting-goods agency with his daughter Tina, growing it into a family-supported distribution business before retiring in the mid-1990s.

Golf was one of Lloyd’s great passions. He was a longtime member of Cedar Brae Golf Club and spent winters at Plantation Golf and Country Club in Florida. He also treasured the lasting friendships he formed through work, family life and the game he loved.

His family remembers Lloyd’s charm, kindness, work ethic and enduring devotion to Linda. Even while living with Alzheimer’s disease, his love for her remained unmistakable.

Cremation has taken place in accordance with Lloyd’s wishes. No formal service will be held.
