MACKEY, Linden Stuart – Proud owner of Mackey Funeral Home, Stoddart Funeral Home, Jardine Funeral Home, and Mackey Celebrations – It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved father and husband, Linden Mackey (“Gumby”), on Monday, May 5th, 2025, in his 59th year.
Linden was born in Lindsay to Gord (2003) and Kay Mackey (2006), the youngest sibling to Jim (Janet), the late Gordy (1965), Susan (Gerry), and Linda. He attended Parkview Public School, L.C.V.I., and graduated from Humber College in Funeral Service Education. He joined the family firm alongside his father and brother, continuing the proud legacy begun by his grandfather.
In 1997, Linden married Stephanie and together they raised four children: Sophia, Thomas, Joseph, and Natasha. He was immensely proud of his family and will be immeasurably missed in every cherished memory.
The outpouring of grief, respect, and love from the community is a testament to the immense impact Linden had on those he served. He lived with kindness and humility and was deeply respected by all.
Visitation will be held at Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay, on Monday, May 12th, and Tuesday, May 13th from 2:00–4:00 p.m. and 7:00–9:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place at Mackey Celebrations, 35 Lindsay Street North, Lindsay, on Wednesday, May 14th at 11:00 a.m., followed by private interment at Riverside Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Kawartha Lakes or Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation.
