MAGUIRE, David Bruce Maguire

Peacefully with his sons by his side, at the Brantford General Hospital on Friday December 12, 2025. David Maguire, of Brantford, in his 73th year. Beloved husband of the late Rica (nee Rombout-2022). Loving Dad of Ryan (Christal) and Brent (Katherine). Cherished Grandpa of Connor and Eva-Lyn. Predeceased by his parents William & Mary Maguire and Margret Molnar. David will be sadly missed by his many extended family and friends.

Raised in Scotland, Ontario, David later made his home in Brantford, Ontario, with the love of his life, Rica, where they raised their two sons. Some of his happiest moments were spent at Turkey Point, out on the boat, fishing, relaxing, and sharing time with family and friends. Following retirement, David and Rica embraced their love of travel, creating many special memories together on trips to Alaska, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, Alberta, and around the Great Lakes. He took great pride in watching his grandchildren grow and especially enjoyed cheering them on at their activities—watching Connor play baseball, Eva-Lyn ride horses, and both run cross country. David will be remembered for his quiet strength, love of family, sense of humor, and appreciation for life’s simple pleasures.

A private family graveside service will be held with a Celebration of David’s Life to be announced at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Keith Ovington Funeral Home, 134 King Street, Burford.
