MAILLOUX, Edmond Mailloux

It is with heavy hearts, but with gratitude for a life well lived, that we announce the passing of Edmond Jules Mailloux on June 12, 2026, at the age of 81.

Edmond was a devoted husband to Bonnie for almost 60 years. He was the proud father of his sons Heath (Dana), Matthew, and Nathan (Lynn). To Rashelle (Alex) and Jake, he was simply the best Papa, who shared with them his laughter, wisdom, and unwavering love. He was also an uncle and friend whose warmth, humor, and generosity touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He treasured time spent with his family and the memories he created will always remain close to their hearts.

Cherished brother of Corinne Reaume, Monique (Roger) Lansue, Louis (Marie) Mailloux, Vincent (June) Mailloux and Lucille (Romeo) Laporte. A dear brother-in-law to Susan Derynck (Dale Bushey), Heather Heuston and Geoff Menard.

Born to Omer and Veronica Mailloux of Tilbury, Edmond’s enthusiasm for life was contagious and brought smiles to those fortunate enough to know him. Whether sharing stories, jokes, or enjoying an ice-cold beer with family and friends, he believed in making the most of every moment.

Edmond leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and togetherness. Though he will be deeply missed, those who knew him will remember him not with sadness alone, but with smiles, stories, and gratitude for the many happy moments they shared.Β  A celebration of Edmond’s life will be held at a later date. Family and friends are encouraged to honor his memory by gathering together, sharing a laugh, and raising a glass for the remarkable man who brought so much joy to those around him.

Forever loved, forever remembered.

Arrangements entrusted to the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home, 245 Wellington St. West, Chatham, 519-352-2710. Friends planning an expression of remembrance are asked to consider Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.β€― On-line condolences may be shared atβ€―www.alexanderandhoulefuneralhome.ca
