It is with great sadness that the family announces his passing in Sudbury, on Monday, September 22, 2025 at the age of 89 years.
Son of the late Arthur and the late Eva (née Lavigne) Mainville. Loving husband of 63 years of Marcelline Mainville (née Barrette). Loving father of Maurice (Corina), Normand, Michel (Tammy), Micheline Langlois (Luc) and Daniel. Cherished son-in-law to late Josephat and late Marie-Rose Barrette.
Dear brother of the late Ernestine Bolen (late Nick), late Ernest (late Emilienna), late Roger (late Rita), late Estelle Bélanger (late Roger), late Marcial (late Chrystine), Roma (Cécile), late Noé (late Jeanette), late Clement (Rollande), late Clémentine Farmer (late Guy), late Conrad (Shirley) and Florian (Jenny). Beloved brother-in-law to late Laurianna Lachapelle, Réjeanne, late Armand, late Emilienne, late Rose-Alice, late Fernande, late Gaston, and late Roger.
Very proud pépère of Krystal-lee St-Onge (Joey), Amanda Mainville (Rob Prévost), Shannon Denault, Joel Mainville (Chelsey Findley), Henri Mainville, Celeste Mainville, Josée Morin (Zoltan), late Matthieu Langlois, Erik Langlois and Martin Langlois.

Proud great-pépère of Rylan St-Onge, new baby Beau Michel St-Onge, Aleeyah Mainville, Dawson and Haven Prevost, Desmond and Liam Denault, Oaklan Daoust and new baby boy Morin, coming in the new year.
Cherished by many nieces and nephews.
