Suddenly with his loving family by his side Bruce Laverne Manning passed away at the age of 76 on Friday, July 10, 2026. Bruce was born on February 5, 1950, in Sarnia, ON. Some referred to him as “Zuke” zookpoons because he was born in a snowstorm.

He is predeceased by his parents, Rosalie and Murray Manning. And his grandparents that helped raise him Marjorie and Wellington Elijah. Bruce was the loving partner to Linda Lou. Bruce was an amazing protective father to Lisa (Kelly), Heather (Ken), Lincoln, and Harvey. He was proud Papa to Leah, Megan, Elijah, late Haley, Chantel, Malcolm and Kenneth. Fun loving great Papa to Nevaeh, Payton, Scarlett and Ryan. Bruce was the eldest brother to late Albert (late Ericka), late Marena (late Cleve), late Tom, the late Douglas,  Harvey, Joanne (Dexter), Murray (Dianne), Jane, Stevan, Dolleen (Mary). Bruce loved his many nieces and nephews, and they lovingly referred to him as “Uncle Bruce”.

Bruce was a hardworking, entrepreneur, highly spiritual person with a unique sense of humor.

He was a proud member of the Ironworkers Local 700 for over 50 years. He opened many businesses throughout the years, but his most successful was Two Eagle Convenience. He believed that laughter was the best medicine. He was proud of his indigenous culture, loved ceremony, sweats and Sundance. Was a Sundancer for over 20 years and has strong ties to his Manitoba Sundance family loved his brothers Jonish and Dylan Courchene. Had a special tie to the Deshkan Ziibiing Sundance in Chippewa.

Family and friends will be received at Denning’s in Watford on Monday, July 13, 2026, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.
A graveside service will take place Tuesday, July 14 at 10 am at the Kettle Point Cemetery followed by the meal at the Forest Legion at 1pm.
