MANSER, Lois Ada MANSER
April 30, 2026
She passed away peacefully with her family by her side on April 30, 2026 at WRHN @ Queenβs Blvd, at the age of 91. Lois was a resident of Morningside Retirement Community, New Hamburg. She was born in Toronto, Ontario on April 18, 1935 to Harold and Marjorie Beemer.
Loving Mother to Lynn Jackson and her husband, Ed, Don Manser and his wife, Jill. Grandma to Kyle & Melynda, Michael, Brittany & Beau. Chad & Rebecca. Great Grandma to Keira, Tyler, Kaitlyn, Eddie and Eli. She loved her family very much.
Lois Ada MANSER is predeceased by her husband Gordon Clifford Manser, her cherished sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Dave McNerney.
Lois was a kind and generous hearted person who cared deeply about her community. She trained as a Nurse at Toronto Sick Kidβs Hospital, and graduated in 1958. She worked at Nithview Nursing Home and St. Lukeβs Place for many years. As a cancer survivor, and out of her love for others she volunteered at Grand River Hospital for 16 years after retirement.
Lois was full of creativity, from card-making to scrapbooking to sewing clothes for her family. Most notable was her passion for miniatures and room box designs. Her creations included scenes from: after a Christmas dinner, the Front Porch, the Garden Shed and the Sewing Room.
She always looked forward to FaceTiming with Ron & Polly Manser, who live in Alberta, every Sunday at 1pm, Chinese dinners with Ken & Gail and phone calls from nieces and nephews.
Once moving to Morningside she loved the social gatherings with her neighbours and really enjoyed Thursday Night Darts.
