He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Martin and Clair Martin. He is survived by: his wife Alleda Bacon; his children, Wendy Whittaker (Neil), Judy Martin (Bill Howes), John Martin (Helene) and Peter Martin; his grandchildren, Sarah Whittaker, Shawn Whittaker (Brittney), Martin Whittaker (Kate Feather), Julianne McEwan (Tom), Crystal Davidson (Brett), Matt Creighton (Dana Cook), Rosie Hamley (Mason), Billy Martin (Rachel), Alexander Martin (Shelley) and Emily Martin; and his great grandchildren, Logan, Ethan, Eleanor, Phoebe of Jada, KJ, Tyler, Chase, Mac, Valerie and Poppy.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Speedside United Church (5903 Wellington Rd 29, Guelph/Eramosa, ON N0B2K0). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
