MARTIN, Ted Martin

Martin, Ted (Edward) – Passed away suddenly at Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at the age of 65. He was born in Owen Sound and was the beloved husband of nearly 38 years to Brenda Martin (Rock).

Ted will be missed by his sister Irma (Phil) Leming and their sons Tristan and Kyle; brother Ken; sisters-in-law Margaret and her sons Wesley, Robert, and James (Amanda); Linda Pitz and her children Brian (Marlene) and Amy (Kevin); Mary and her children Michaela (Ryan), Matthew (Kris), and Jackie (Marco); and Joyce (Gord) Free and their children Mitchell (Ang) and Meaghan (Will); brother-in-law Bruce; and many great-nieces, nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews. He will also be fondly remembered by his loyal fur-baby, Izzy.

Predeceased by his parents Arthur Alexander and Alice Helena Martin, brother Brian, in-laws Alvin and Viola Rock, and brothers-in-law Larrie Rock and Don Pitz.

Ted was known for his gentle and happy nature, quick wit, and reliable heart. He loved woodworking, being outdoors, and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Whether puttering in the yard or spotting the next tree to trim, being in nature was his peace. Most of all, he was Brenda’s best friend and the love of her life.

In keeping with Ted’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira.
