With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Laura Joyce Maxwell, wife of Fred H. Grist, who left us on August 21, 2025, at the age of 67. A resident of Orangeville, ON, Laura was admired for her unwavering kindness, quiet strength, and deep love for her family and friends.

Born on May 24, 1958, Laura dedicated her life to her loved ones, leaving behind a legacy of accomplishments. She will always be remembered for her generosity, humor, resilience, and passion.

Laura is survived by her grandchildren Annika, Sage, Tristen, and Ethan; daughters Jennifer and Kristen; stepdaughter Laurie and stepson Michael; her sister Joy Anastasi; brothers Guy, Adrian, and Vince; brother-in-law Spiro Anastasi; and sisters-in-law Margarette Maxwell and Helen Anastasi. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who cherished her deeply.

Laura is predeceased by her sister Jane, her mother Hazel, and her father Ken.

While she may no longer be with us, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her. Her legacy of love will endure through those she touched.
