Jo-Anne Barbara McQuaid

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend on August 23, 2026.

Jo-Anne Barbara McQuaid was a loving mother to Dan (Laurie), Nikki (Moe), Courtney (Jason), and Brandon (Ruby). She was a devoted grandmother to Colin McQuaid, Dustin (Karissa) Kilmer, Derek (Sam) Soles, Cayden Davis, and Wyatt Davis, and a cherished great-grandmother to Savannah McQuaid, Ares McQuaid, and Jace Kilmer. She will be lovingly remembered by her sisters, Kathy and Louise. She is predeceased by her parents, Al and Marion, and her brothers, John and Tom.

She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, but above all, she was a loving woman to everyone who knew her. Her smile could brighten any room, and the love she gave so freely was felt most deeply by her children and grandchildren.

She leaves behind a family filled with treasured memories that will never be forgotten. Her love, laughter, strength, and the countless moments shared together will forever remain in our hearts.

Though she left us far too soon, the love she gave us will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend their thanks to the First Responders and the staff at Northcutt Elliott for their care and compassion during this difficult time.

Rest in peace to a woman we were so proud to call Mom. You will be forever loved, forever missed, and never forgotten.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, 53 Division Street, Bowmanville, from 2:00PM to 4:00PM & 6:00PM to 8:00PM
