It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Alda Melo at her home on August 9, 2025, at the age of 68. She was the beloved wife of the late Gilberto Melo.
Alda will be deeply missed by her three children, Brenda-Lee (Andrew) Moran, Andy Melo, and Jason Melo, as well as her four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She will also be fondly remembered by her brother Grinoaldo (Dionisia), brother-in-law Jose Da Costa Melo, sister-in-law Conceição Cabral, nieces, nephews, extended family, and her church family.
Visitation will be held at Friscolanti Funeral Chapel, 43 Barton Street East, on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A funeral service will take place at St. Mary’s Church on the same day at 1:00 p.m., followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Ancaster.
