Died peacefully at Innisfree House on Friday May 15, 2026 at the age of 85. Gerry is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ann Miller (nee Finlay). Loving father to Howard (Linda) Miller, Gerald (Carrie) Miller, and Darcy Miller. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Aaron (Melissa) Miller, Amber (Jordan) McCullough, Brandi Miller, Alicia (Mike) Kerr-Van Meyl, Brayden (Alexis) Miller, Marisa Miller, and Brandon Miller; his great-grandchildren, Brock Miller, Mackenzie Miller, Lorenzo Marroquin, Maverick Van Meyl, Abigail Van Meyl, and ; his step-grandchildren, Bradley (Melissa) Hyman, Kyle (Kristan) Hyman, and Dylan Hyman; and his step-great-grandchildren, Kaley Hyman, Khloe Hyman, Ryder Hyman, Kolton Hyman, and Scarlett Miller-Fowler.
Richard Gerald Laverne MILLER will be missed by his sisters, Janice Miller, and Sharon Salmon. He is predeceased by his parents, Lee and Burle Miller, and his sister Glena Cook (Earl).
Gerry was a loving, hard-working, family-oriented man. He spent his career as an automotive mechanic, and even in his down time he loved to tinker, working on car customization. His pride and joy project was his 1932 Ford.
Gerry took great pride in being a volunteer with New Dundee fire for many years.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will take place on Sunday May 31, 2026 between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm at Mark Jutzi Funeral Home in New Hamburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Innisfree House are appreciated. Donations can be made at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street New Hamburg.
