Suddenly but peacefully, after a courageous struggle with illness, our much-loved father, grandfather, brother and uncle, (“Vince”) Martin Vincent Molloy, a resident of Tillsonburg, passed away at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, on March 19th, 2026, in his 85th year. Born in Macclesfield, Manchester, England, U.K., son of the late Martin Molloy and the late former Margaret McLaughlin. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 59 years, Patricia Anne (Kelly) Molloy (May 30, 2022). Much loved father and father-in-law of: Matthew (Patty), of Hastings; Anthony (Corriene), of Shakespeare; Michael, of Woodstock; Jay (Senka), of Mississauga; Joshua, of Tillsonburg. Proud and loving grandfather of: Amanda, Nyssa, Tyler, Mya, Magdalena, Alexander and beloved great-grandfather to Madalyn and Caleb. Dear brother and brother-in-law of: Anthony (Bea) Molloy, of P.E.I.; and Terry Molloy, of Kitchener. Also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his in-laws Marylin and Raymond Sorochan.
Vince will be remembered as a dedicated member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Tillsonburg, Knights of Columbus Council 3212 and St. Francisco Marto of Fatima Assembly 3854, Tillsonburg. Vince served as a well-respected former KofC District Deputy. Vince was a proud and active Associate Member with the Royal Canadian Legion Br. # 153, Tillsonburg. Vince worked at the Oshawa General Motors Plant for 37 years, where he was affectionately known as ‘Ace’.
Friends, neighbours and relatives are invited to attend public visitation on Thursday, March 26th, 2026, between 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes Chapel, 262 Broadway, Tillsonburg. St. Mary’s Knights of Columbus Prayers will take place on Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. Further visitation will take place on Friday, March 27th, 2026, between 1:00 and 1:45 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial follows on Friday at 2:00 p.m., at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, 51 Venison St., Tillsonburg, by Rev. Fr. Seejo John. Inurnment follows in the Tillsonburg Cemetery Columbarium. A reception will follow in the St. Mary’s Church basement hall, immediately after inurnment.
