MONTROY, Joan Mildred Montroy

It is with deep sadness and loving remembrance that the family announces the peaceful passing of Joan Mildred Montroy (Née Carter) on June 5, 2026, at Southbridge Cornwall Long-Term Care Home, with her family by her side.
Joan is now reunited with her beloved husband, John Oliver Montroy, and her parents, Leonard and Irene Carter (Née Heath), who predeceased her. She was also predeceased by her siblings Dawn Pidgeon (late Alcide), Robert Carter, and Ronald Carter.
A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, Joan’s greatest joy was her family. She leaves behind her loving children Michael, Patrick, Dalton (Janette), and Lisa. Cherished grandmother of Robert, Melissa (John), Jennifer (Steve), Mark, and Amanda, and proud great-grandmother of Cecilia, Asterios, Jaelyn, Noah, Kyrie, Ashlyn, Aubree, Alexia, Oliver, and Myles.
She is lovingly remembered by her siblings Eva Carter, Doris Carter, Brian Carter (Sandra), and Susan Struthers (Darcy), as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends whose lives were touched by her kindness and gentle spirit.
Joan will be remembered for her unwavering love of family, her quiet strength, and the warmth she shared with those around her.
In keeping with Joan’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside committal service will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to celebrate her life and share cherished memories.
