MOUNTNEY, Theresa Rose Mountney

In Loving Memory of Theresa Rose Mountney (June 1, 1951- April 30, 2026), It is with deep love and profound sadness that our beloved mother and grandmother Theresa Rose Mountney (nee Jaworski) passed away peacefully at Michael Garron Hospital, Toronto on Thursday, April 30, 2026 in her 74th year.

Theresa was greatly loved and will be forever missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter Jennifer (Ken), her precious granddaughter Julia whom she loved immensely, her sister Joan (Bruce), niece Erin (Jeff), great-nieces Kayla and Madelyn and nephew Josh (Seandra). She is predeceased by her parents Walter and Julia Jaworski (nee Tataryn), her sister Emily (Allan) and nephew Peter.

Theresa grew up with her family in the town of Delhi, Ontario. As a mature student, she earned her Registered Practical Nurse Diploma with High Honours. She was an exceptionally dedicated Registered Practical Nurse at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital for twenty-two years.

She had a passion and a love for flowers as seen in her beautiful gardens year over year. Her gift of crafting, specifically the beautifully hand designed cards she made for all of her family and friends will be cherished. Her love of music and the theatre, and the special memories of Niagara-on-the-Lake every summer enjoying the Shaw Festival together will always be remembered.

Theresa had a love for laughter. Family and friends will always remember her for her wonderful laugh and hold these special moments dear to their hearts.

She loved her family deeply and most of all, her precious granddaughter Julia. They shared a deep and very special bond that will be held so dearly in all of our hearts forever.

A deeply heartfelt thank you to all of the medical staff on the Palliative Care Unit at Michael Garron Hospital who took great care of our Mom/Nana and our family during this difficult time.

Cremation will take place.
A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
