Mrs. Bonnie Sharon Branton

Passed away quietly and with grace on Friday September 4th, 2026 at the age of 83 after an afternoon surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of 60 years to the love of her life Frank (predeceased). Cherished mother of Scott and his wife Suzy, Jay and his wife Lori, and Shane and his wife Stacie.

Immensely proud Nan to Kye and his wife Leanne, Liam and his fiancée Meaghan, Kiera, Malcolm and his wife Darby, Isabella, Josh, Jacob and Lily. Loving Great Nan to Aria. She will be fondly remembered and forever loved by her many extended family and friends.

Bonnie Sharon Branton was a dedicated and passionate teacher constantly advocating for the children with special needs in her many classes over her years with the Durham District School Board. She had a love for travel, gardening, and fashion but most of all family. Her perfect day was one that she could climb into the minivan with Frank to visit her children and grandchildren to share stories and laughter.

Family and friends may visit OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West on Tuesday September 8, 2026 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Private Family Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. If desired, in memoriam donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
