MUIR, Earle Muir

Passed away peacefully on December 19, 2025, at his home in Niagara-on-the-Lake, in his 93rd year. Predeceased by his beloved wife Sheila, who was everything to him, and by his brothers Jim and Stan, and sister Ilah. Survived by his children Anne (Jim), Glenn (Sandra), and Doug; grandchildren Kathryn (Will), Laura (Josh), Grace, and James; and his sister Eileen.

A fourth-generation fruit farmer in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Earle devoted his life to farming and was known for his strong work ethic, fairness, and kindness. After many years farming alongside his daughter, he proudly passed the farm on to her. Curling was a favourite off-season pursuit, and he was a member of the St. Catharines Curling Club for over 50 years, curling competitively and socially, often with his sons. Later in life, he enjoyed golfing when time allowed.

Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at Morgan Funeral Home, Niagara-on-the-Lake, on Saturday, December 27, 2025, from noon to 1 p.m., followed by a service at 1 p.m. Interment at St. David’s–Queenston Church Cemetery.
