MULYK, Harry Mulyk

In his 90th year, Harry Dan Mulyk, born in Sudbury to Danylo and Anna Mulyk (nee Wydysk), was reunited with his much-loved mother (2009), and father (1981), on June 17, 2025.

Survived by younger brother Donald, nephew Paul, niece Tanya, and those of us fortunate to be his friend. He, in turn, became a cherished member of the Lee/Seto/Stirling/Torre families.

Altruistic by nature, a man of whom his mother was proud, will be forever remembered. After working for Empire Brass as a young man, Harry had a long career of night shifts with American Can Company at Victoria Avenue North, Hamilton.

An independent bachelor, Harry spent many vacations driving across Canada and the United States and loved attending ball games, and talking to everyday people he encountered. His community dedication earned him a YMCA Life Membership. From mid-teens, he was active in local sports and well into his 70s played baseball with Hamilton Olde Sports Slo-Pitch League at Turner Park. He was an avid life-long fan of the Cleveland Indians and Toronto Maple Leafs (esp. Teeder Kennedy #9).

Being lifelong friends to Harry, Stephen Stirling (nephew), and Linda Lee undertook his care when it became needed. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Bryan Alton & Dr. Devon Alton, St. Joseph’s Hospital medical personnel, CCAC and VON services which enabled Harry to remain at his home.

Cremation services were held. Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 10 a.m. until the time of The Celebration of Life at 12 p.m. with Father Charlie Galea at P.X. Dermody Funeral Home, 796 Upper Gage Ave. Hamilton, ON.

Memories and notes of condolence may be shared at P.X. Dermody Funeral Home.
