Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at the Chatham- Kent Health Alliance at the age of 75. Rockey was born in Chesley, Ontario in 1950, son of the late Joseph “Oscar” (1991) and Audrey (Bishop) Myers (2009). Rockey will be sadly missed by his children Leessa (Larry) Giacalone, Joe (Shelley) Myers, Jennifer (Aaron) Kogon, and Keith Myers. He was the loving grandfather of Larry (Holly) and Anthony Giacalone, Amber (Aleks) and Jasmyn Myers, and great grandfather of Oliver and Jaxon Stankovic. Cherished brother of Fred Myers, Judi (John) Maynard, Wendy (Mike) Brown, and will also be missed by many nieces & nephews. Rockey is pre deceased by his brother Roddy Myers (2006) and his sister Dawn Bellamy (2019).
Anyone who had known Rockey, knew that he would show up to help whenever needed, and could fix anything. He had many friends, and always knew how to make people laugh. He was always the life of the party. Rockey lived his life to the fullest and always on his own terms.
Rockey worked at Eaton Yale / Oxford Automotive and drove his own taxi cab, then later on drove transport truck for a few years before retiring.
As per Rockey’s request, cremation has taken place. His family will be remembering him privately.
