NOELS, Linda Noels

January 22, 1949 - March 22, 2026
NOELS, Linda Noels

The family of Linda Noels is heartbroken to announce that she passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026. She fought like a warrior against lupus, kidney disease (twice), congestive heart failure and a stroke, never giving up the fight. She was making plans for the future, determined to never give up.

Linda was a shining light to her family, always stubborn, forever loving, and fiercely loyal. Her laugh was infectious and she sparkled when she was being mischievous. She took care of others while they fought their own battles, including her mother and her husband. She also volunteered with Bereaved Families of Canada because she wanted to help other parents who’d had to say goodbye to their children. She cared about people and their sadness, and she’ll be missed.

She leaves behind her daughter Christine Noels, her grandson Brandon Noels and his partner Kelsey Smith, and her beloved great-grandson, Colter Noels. Linda is also survived by her sister Carolyn Shay and her husband George, brother-in-law Rick Noels and his wife Carol, sister-in-law Lynda Noels and her partner Wade Jull, and several nieces and nephews.

Linda was predeceased by her parents, William and Vera (Sage) Harrington, her in-laws, Marjorie (Cowan) Noels & Murray Noels, sister-in-law Dorothy Noels and her partner Chick McKenzie and brothers-in-law, Barry Noels and Ted Noels.

Her greatest sadness was that she was also predeceased by her husband, Russell Noels, and by her son, James (Jamie) Noels. Their loss was never out of her thoughts. A graveside Service will be held on Wednesday March 25, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Tillsonburg Cemetery. All are welcome to join the family in support of their loss. Donations in memory of Linda may be made to the VON Oxford – Sakura House, Woodstock and can be done online with the charity or via cheque payable to the Charity by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home (519) 842-5221 who have been entrusted with Linda’s arrangements.
