Okkema: Henry – A resident of Ridgetown, and formerly of Dresden, Henry Okkema passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at the age of 78.
Born in Aandijk, Holland, Henry was the son of the late Harry and Helen (née VanDerHoning) Okkema.
Beloved husband to the late Gloria (née Oosterman) (2015).
Survived by his brother Harry Okkema (Tina) and sister Anna Vanderleuw. Also survived by sisters-in-law Frances and Nellie.
He will be missed by nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.
A Service will be held at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 7, 2025 with Pastor Nate VanDenend officiating.
Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
