Our beloved Sara, a joyful light in this world, went to heaven on November 17, 2025. Sara is survived by her mom, Adrienne Gale Oumett. She was predeceased by her uncle Ken, her aunt Regine, and her brother Richard Walter Thomas Oumett.
Born in St. Albert, Alberta, Sara was a happy child who delighted in the everyday – the sun shining on the snow, the breeze on her face, or the time spent at the park. As she grew up, she naturally found her disabilities frustrating, but she overcame this and continued to spread her joy. In many ways, she was an inspiration.
In Kelowna, BC, Sara found community in her care home and among her caregivers – her constant smile will be missed dearly. She loved her “stuffies” and was happiest among them.
We are comforted to know she is now in a place where she is free of her limitations, and we look forward to meeting her again.
