Peacefully at the Hamilton General Hospital surrounded by her loving family on July 6, 2025 at the age of 68. Beloved mother of Peter (Jenny), Joseph, Diana (Anand Sharma) and their father Vincenzo Passaretti. Loving Nonna of Emery, Gabriel, Cristiano and baby girl Sharma. Daughter of the late Giuseppe and the late Domenica Calcagni. Dear sister of Fred (late Rita) Calcagni, the late Peter (Faye) Calcagni. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends in Canada and Italy.

Anne Marie was a dedicated Educational Assistant with the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board for over 15 years. She brought joy and laughter wherever she went—always joking, often forgetting names, but never forgetting how to make someone feel welcomed and loved.
She loved to dance and listen to music, especially her favourite song, “Daddy Cool.” Music brought her energy and joy, and she was always the first to get up and move to the beat. She had a deep love for bingo, crosswords, and most of all, her grandchildren—whom she adored and spoiled endlessly.
Anne Marie travelled to Italy and often reminisced about her trip, speaking fondly of the beauty, culture, and the deep connection she felt to her roots. She always dreamed of going back. Despite her own struggles, Anne Marie was always helping others. She treated everyone like family, and her warmth and generosity left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She especially loved children, and every child who met her felt seen, safe, and loved.
Resting at Friscolanti Funeral Chapel, 43 Barton St. E., on Sunday, July 13 from 2–6 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony’s Church on Monday, July 14, 2025 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In kindness, donations to the Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
