It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Sylvia Anne Pennell, on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Telfer Place in Paris, Ontario.

Sylvia was the devoted and loving wife of the late Eric Pennell, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, partnership, and cherished memories. Together, Sylvia and Eric built a beautiful family and raised nine wonderful children: Joseph (Tammy), Michael (Tammy), the late Danny (Joselyn), Robert (Lynne), William (Stefani), the late Grace (Kirk), Stanley (Sherri), Gordon (Daniel) and Margaret (Nikky). Forever loved grandmother of JJ, Tom, Eric, Donovan, Kylie, Gracie, Christopher, Bailey, Jessica, Danielle, Reggie, Shyla, Billy, Ava, Stanley, Erica, Emily, Greg, Carly and great-grandmother of Felix, Ben, Eleanor, Zoey, Kingston, Roman, Alexander.

Sylvia’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was a loving mother whose kindness, strength, and unwavering support shaped the lives of her children and all who knew her. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and unconditional love, where family always came first.

She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, caring heart, and the countless lives she touched through her compassion and generosity. Sylvia’s legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the many family members and friends who were blessed to know and love her. Though our hearts ache with her passing, we take comfort in the memories she leaves behind and the love she shared so freely throughout her life.

Friends will be welcomed at the Dwayne D. Budgell Funeral Home Ltd., 1105 Rest Acres Road, Paris, Ontario, Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Memorial Service will follow in the Funeral Home Chapel at 1 p.m. Father Jerzy Tomon of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church will officiate. In Sylvia’s memory, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by her family.

Sylvia will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
