PHILLIPS, Steven Larry Phillips

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Steve Phillips at the age of 68, who suddenly passed away at Bowmanville Hospital August 11, 2026.

Steve lived a challenging life, facing many hardships along the way, but those who knew him will remember him for his incredible sense of humour, his generous heart, and his selfless nature. He was the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to someone in need, often putting others before himself. His ability to make people laugh and his genuine care for those around him will be deeply missed.

In the later years of his life his sisters Kim Wolla (John) and Carla Stevens (Scott) were his rocks. Their love, support, and unwavering presence meant more to Steve than words can express.

Steve was predeceased by his parents Louis and Uelma Phillips and is now reunited with them.

Steve leaves behind many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly: Petra (Taylor), Storm (Amanda), Christie (Stephen), Ashley (Jeff) and Jamie, as well as his great nieces and nephews Linlee, Henrik, Lainey and Jack. He held a special place in their lives and the memories they shared with him will remain with them always.

He is also survived by his daughters, Amanda (Darrin), Felicity, many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Steve’s life was not always an easy one, but he leaves behind a legacy of laughter, kindness, resilience and memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Rest peacefully, Steve. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
