Passed away peacefully with loved ones by his side on Thursday September 18, 2025, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Beloved husband to the late Daphne for more than 70 years.
Loving father to Brian (Mary), Stephen, Rick, Dianne Krauter, Ron and Karen Lowe (Jamie).
Cherished grandfather to Christine Cook (Michael), Karen Allentoff (Michael), Ann-Marie Pilkington (Dan Venturelli), Kyle Pilkington, Amanda Campbell (Brandon), Craig Krauter (Matthew Harnett), Cheryl Krauter (Mat Slaney), Scott Krauter, Kevin Krauter, Thomas Pilkington, Elaina Pilkington and Clayton Lowe (Ava).
Cherished great grandfather to Natalie and Ryan Cook, Nathan Allentoff, Dajon Reid, Jace, Hailey, Lilly and Roczen Campbell, Zayden, Zhavia, Melody Krauter, and Lucas Slaney.
Predeceased by his wife Daphne Pilkington, daughter-in-law Lily Pilkington, son-in-law Alan Krauter and sister-in-law Laura Lindsay. Survived by his beloved sister Eleanor Urquhart and many nieces and nephews. Fondly remembered by Kate Herbacko.
A Celebration of Edwin’s Life will be held on Sunday September 28, 2025, at THORNTON FUNERAL CENTRE (1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, 905-579-6787) with visitation at 11am, until time of service at 12pm.
