Passed away unexpectedly at Sunnybrook Hospital on Monday, August 3, 2026, in her 95th year, surrounded by love.
Whether you called her Mom, Mom Piney, Nana, Aunt Bev, Bev, or Mrs. Piney, she touched every heart with her kindness, warmth, and incredible strength. Bev had a rare gift for listening, supporting, and caring deeply, always putting family and friends first. One of seven siblings, her greatest joy was the massive, beautiful family she built. As the proud matriarch to nine children, nineteen grandchildren, forty-eight great-grandchildren, and their partners, she leaves a legacy of unconditional love and fierce devotion. She always said, “I love you very, very, very much”, a phrase she meant with her whole heart every single time.
Cremation has taken place. The family will gather soon for a celebration of life to share stories, laughter, and memories of the warmth Bev brought into the world.
