With profound sadness, the family announces that Rob passed away at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Ottawa while surrounded by the love of family and close friends on Saturday, May 31, 2025. Robert Pingyin of Ottawa was 74 years of age.
Beloved husband and best friend of Sally Ann (née Machine). Dearly loved Dad of Leigh Ann Pingyin (Tony Nguyen) and Russell Pingyin (Maryse Choquette Pingyin). Cherished Grandpa of Logan O’Creen and Aidan Pingyin.
Dear brother of John Pingyin (Ann) and Andy Pingyin (Rosie). Predeceased by siblings Thomas (late Lily), Alice Chinsen (late Hung Fat), Eva Chan (late Hung Foo), Anne Pingyin and Mary Chan (Jonhni).
He will also be missed by his brother-in-law Eric Machine (Eleanor) as well as his many nieces, nephews and friends.
Rob’s final care has been entrusted to Pilon Family Funeral Home, 50 John Street North, Arnprior. The family will receive friends during visitation on Friday afternoon, June 6th from 2 to 4 p.m.
