PLOURDE , Margaret “Peggy” Plourde

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Margaret “Peggy” Plourde at the age of 91 at Riverbend Longterm care in Cambridge, Ontario on August 20, 2025. Peggy passed peacefully, surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy of strength, curiosity, and deep love for her family.

Predeceased by her beloved husband, Rosario Plourde, and her dear friend, Orval Hamilton, Peggy’s life was marked by resilience and a keen interest in the world around her. Even at 91, she remained curious and up to date with all the latest devices.

Peggy was the cherished mother of Donald Plourde (Barb), Diane Brennick (David), Jacqueline Kitchener (Gord), Janet Koleszar (John), and Jane Musgrove (Vernon). She was a proud grandmother to Gene, Josh, Almida, Sarah, Patrick, Laura, Cassandra, Leanna, Justin, Jamie, and Nichole, and her love extended to their families, including 21 great-grandchildren.

Born on the East Coast, Peggy’s life took her on many journeys across the country, always returning to the people and places she loved most. She will be missed terribly by all who had the pleasure of knowing her and enjoying her zest for life.

Special thanks to many of the caregivers at Riverbend who provided her with unbelievable care and compassion during her stay there.

Ontario: Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at 65 Flanders Road, Breslau, Ontario
East Coast: Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at 120 Aulac Road, Aulac, New Brunswick
