It is with great sadness that the family of Howard Pollard announces his peaceful passing on April 8th, 2025, at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville, at the age of 82.
Howard is predeceased by his beloved parents, Lois Bellman Pollard (Rowe) and Scott Clarence Pollard, as well as his brothers James and Ron. He is survived by his devoted wife Helen Pollard, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and partnership.
A proud and loving father, Howard will be dearly missed by his children: Ian (Pam), Guy, Scott (Heather), Wendy (Brian), and Mary (Bob). He was a cherished grandfather to Adam, Blake (Karlee), Andrew, Danica (John), Christopher, Sebastian, Aaron, Hannah, Jacob (Jennifer), Lisa (Stephen), Zack, Ethan, Angela, and Kristopher, and a joyful great-grandfather to Violet and Kinsley.
Howard will also be fondly remembered by his extended family, including aunts, uncles, and cousins, who will miss his warmth and wit.
He dedicated 30 years of his working life to Goodyear, where he was respected for his hard work and strong character. In his leisure time, Howard found great joy in skiing, hockey, and golf—passions he pursued with enthusiasm and often shared with those he loved.
Howard leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and devotion to family. He will be remembered always and missed deeply by all who knew him.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, June 7th, 2025, at 1PM at the Salvation Army Bowmanville Community Church, 75 Liberty St South, Bowmanville, followed by a luncheon.
