It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Helen, peacefully at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville. Helen lived a long and remarkable life of 99 years, marked by strength, resilience and a deep love for her family. Through life’s many joys and challenges, she carried herself with grace, kindness and quiet courage. She was the heart of a large family who adored her and will remember her with endless love and gratitude.

Helen Grace Preston is predeceased by her husband Lloyd and son Gary (Marlene) as well as her sister Muriel (Orville) and brother Charles (Alma). She is lovingly remembered by her children Bob (Wendy), Kolleen Haass (Ron) and Jan Witherspoon (Ted), along with her grandchildren Kate, Michael, Luke, Ryan (Sarah), Laura, Erin (Lauren), Angie (Jon), Brad (Meagan), Emily (Dylan), Owen (Amanda) and Allison, her twelve great grandchildren, extended family and dear friends.

Her legacy lives on in the generations she nurtured, the memories she created and the love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed and cherished forever.

Visitation will be held on Monday May 04, 2026 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, 53 Division Street, Bowmanville, ON. Visitation to take place the following day, Tuesday May 05, 2026 at 11:00AM followed by service at 12:00PM. Reception to follow. Private family interment will occur at a later date.
