It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Daniel “Dan” Prieur on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on October 6, 1945, in Windsor, Ontario, Dan was the beloved son of the late Ivan and Alice Prieur. He was the dear brother of the late Paul “Butch” Prieur, brother-in-law of Gail Prieur, and beloved brother of Linda Verbeem and brother-in-law of the late Ron Verbeem. Dan was a loving and generous uncle to Mike and Mona and Jason and Christine, Jordon and Sarah and proud Great-Uncle Danny to Carter, Jack, Addison, and Jaxon who brought him endless pride and joy. He also leaves behind many first cousins and cherished friends who will miss his kindness, generosity, and unwavering friendship. Dan dedicated many years of service to Champion Spark Plug before concluding his career at The Windsor Casino, where he worked for several years before his retirement. Dan found great joy in spending time with family and friends. He especially enjoyed bowling, golfing, and playing cards, creating countless memories filled with laughter, stories, and friendly competition. His warm smile, generous heart, and easygoing nature touched everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Dan will be remembered for the love he shared with his family, the friendships he cherished, and the kindness he showed throughout his life. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Cremation has taken place.
