On Sunday, May 5, 2025, Clifford Theodore Providence passed away peacefully at the age of 94 at Lakeridge Health Ajax-Pickering, surrounded by his loving family- His sons Cecil and Clive, Daughter-in-law Marcia and his cherished grandchildren Israel, Eurielle, Amorelle and Azariah.
Clifford was a devoted husband to his late wife Inez, a loving father, Proud grandfather and great-grandfather, dear uncle and friend. His life was marked as a quiet strength, strong faith and deep wisdom. He didn’t say much, but when he did, it mattered. He was always ready to offer guidance, lend a hand or share a thoughtful word when someone needed it the most.
He found joy in simple things- catching up with the latest news, taking walks and winning in the game of checkers. He didn’t need the spotlight to lead. Clifford showed his family what it meant to live with honesty, humility and purpose just by being who he was every day.
His faith in God grounded him and he found comfort in knowing he’s now reunited with his beloved Inez and resting peacefully in the presence of God.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 14th, 2025 at Mount Lawn Funeral Home, 21 Garrard Road in Whitby, ON, from 10: 00a.m to 12: 00p.m with a chapel service to follow. He will be laid to rest following the chapel service at the Mount Lawn Cemetery.
Clifford will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His love, quiet wisdom and presence live on in everyone who had the blessing of knowing him.
